Tuotannossa olevat nukenrungot
Nukenrunkoja valmistetaan kokoja 18, 29, 35, 45, 54 ja 60 cm. Nukkeja saa hiuksettomina, puolikaljuina, lyhyellä tai pitkällä hiuksella joko vaaleana tai tumman ruskeana. Vaaleahiuksisen nuken silmät ovat siniset ja ruskeahiuksisen ruskeat. Nukeilla on liikkuvat silmät (ei 18 cm:llä).

Nukenrungon valmistuksen työvaiheet
Nukenrungot valetaan elintarvikevärillä värjätystä elintarvikemuovista, joten ne ovat myrkyttömiä. Runkoihin porataan reiät päälle, käsille ja jaloille. Runkojen kokoamisen jälkeen ne hiekkapuhalletaan. Silmäaihioiden tekoon on oma koneensa. Silmät maalataan ja kootaan käsin. Nukenpään viimeistely on tarkkaa käsityötä. Nukenpäälaki eli kalotti irrotetaan ja kuumennetaan, jonka jälkeen siihen ommellaan hiukset. Kalotti kiinnitetään takaisin niittaamalla. Silmien kohdalle päähän leikataan reiät, ja silmät laitetaan paikoilleen. Nuken poskien ja huulten punaus tapahtuu pienellä maalausruiskulla ja kulmakarvojen korostus siveltimellä. Lopuksi muotoillaan kampaus.

Puetut nuket
Nukkien vaatteet ommellutetaan paikallisilla ompelijoilla. Vaatetus saattaa koostua yli 20 osasta nauhoineen, tupsuineen ja solkineen.

Takuu
Suomalaisen nuken tunnistaa niskassa olevasta Lapland Finland tai Rovaniemi Finland -merkinnästä. Mallit ovat 50-vuotta vanhoja, joten varaosia vanhoihin suomalaisiin muovinukkeihin löytyy. Kaikissa tuotteissa on aitoustakuulappu yhteystietoineen.

The doll frames in production
Doll frames are manufactured with the following sizes 18, 29, 35, 45, 54 and 60 cm. Dolls are available without hair, half bald, short or long-haired, either blonde or dark brown. The blonde dolls have blue eyes, and the brown-haired dolls have brown eyes. The dolls have moving eyes (not the 18 cm doll).

The production stages of the doll frames
The doll frames are cast with non-toxic plastics at a temperature of approximately 140°C, and dyed with food dye. The frames are therefore non-toxic. The frame has holes drilled in the head, hands and feet. After the frames have been assembled, the dolls are sand-blasted. A separate machine is used for making the eye mechanism. The eyes are painted and assembled by hand. The finishing of the doll’s head is very precise handiwork. The doll’s crown is detached and heated, after which the hair is woven to the crown. The crown is refitted by riveting. Holes are cut out for the eyes, and the eyes are put in place. The red cheeks and lips of the doll are made with a small airbrush, and the enhanced eyebrows with a brush. Finally, the hair is styled.

Dressed dolls
The dolls’ clothes are made by a local seamstress. The clothing can sometimes comprise of over 20 parts with ribbons, tassels and buckles.

Guarantee
The Finnish dolls may be identified by the Lapland Finland or Rovaniemi Finland mark on the neck. The models are 50 years old, therefore spare parts for the old Finnish plastic dolls are easily available. All products hold a tag with the seal of authenticity and contact information.
